Our second post on our ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ series, you can see the first one here… we love to keep adding in the good times this summer holidays and make the most of every opportunity to teach our little ones about healthy food choices, what better way than by creating art at the same time…
Veggie Paint
Buy a variety of vegetables (just firm ones, nothing squishy) and slice them in various ways or shapes.
Cover the table with newspaper.
Put assorted colours of paint into containers.
Give each child a large sheet of paper and let them paint the vegetable and print them onto the paper in any way they would like.
Fruit Rainbow
- Strawberries
- Oranges
- Kiwi fruit
- Blueberries
- Banana
- A chopping board, knife and plate
- (You can add in any fruit of your choice to replace the above)
Steps:
Cut each piece of fruit up into bite-size pieces and arrange on a plate in similar colours to create a visual rainbow effect. Enjoy!
